Outreach at St. John's

• Christmas Food Items - It's that time again when we need your generosity to build at least 50 bags of Christmas food items --turkeys, yams, beans, cranberries, etc. The items can be dropped off at St. John's over the three Sundays prior to Christmas.... The recipients are generally members of the fishing fleet who have been identified as needy as well as the workers in the two seafood processing plants at the dock.

• Help with relief efforts in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti by contributing to Epsicopal Relief and Development.

• Soup Troop. Members of the parish and others deliver soup to the hungry dock and plant workers in Galilee twice a week. More information

• Food Pantry. The parish collects grocery items every week for the North Kingstown Food Pantry, hosted at the North Kingstown United Methodist Church. The Food Pantry provides groceries for 50-60 families in need in North Kingstown each week. We hear from the people who run the food pantry that they are so grateful for contributions from St. John's, "the little church with the big heart."

• Epsicopal Charities of Rhode Island. The total amount of donations to Episcopal Charities each year is distributed to 114 social service agencies in Rhode Island.
