Caring Circle Ministry

The Caring Circle (CC) is a ministry of prayer and care sponsored by the Chapel of St. John the Divine.

The primary focus of the CC is to make the community of St. John's aware of people who would welcome prayers and cards or notes of encouragement during times of need, illness, or grief. The CC committee will communicate this need via St. John's moderated Caring Circle email distribution list.

Recipients of the Caring Circle email communications are asked to include the person(s) in their daily prayers, and/or send a note or card. Also, if it is someone you share a relationship with, you might arrange to visit, bring a meal, shop, or help in whatever way is needed. Sometimes it only takes a few people giving to help someone through a difficult time.

The CC Committee recognizes the need for privacy and the HIPAA Laws. If you know of someone who is ill or is going through a difficult time, please ask their permission to be included in a Caring Circle email communication. A member of the CC committee will also contact that person before publishing their name via St. John's Caring Circle e-mail distribution list.
